We’ve seen the great deal sites that are out there. Some are fantastic, some are…not. Most of them carry merchandise that you see everywhere. Left of Trend is different. Left of Trend carries unique brands. Many are up and coming designers, some are small higher end lines. All are the type of items you’d find in a fabulous boutique.
One of the greatest features of Left of Trend is the fact that you never know what you may find! Last time I took a peek there were gorgeous coats and amazing dresses. Today, when I had a look-see, there were fun bags made from upcycled coffee sacks. I also came across trendy, affordable jewelry and some really cute clothes. There were even amazing clothes and accessories for guys! If anyone has a style conscious man in their life, you know exactly how difficult it can be to find items they’ll wear.
I asked Jim from Left of Trend about the site and this is what he had to say
How would you describe LoT?
Left of Trend is the best place on the web to find exclusive deals on the hottest up-and-coming designers and brands in fashion. We only feature emerging and independent brands, and strive to have something for everyone; from the fashion-forward couture crowd to the basics-with-a-twist street style aficionado.
How do you decide what companies to feature on LoT?
It's a collaborative effort between Jason and I to find, curate, and contact brands that we think fit our model well. We try to feature items we can envision ourselves and our friends wearing as much as possible, but also stay very open to featuring edgier items that our crowd may not wear, but could perhaps be the next big thing. Some hit and some miss, but the point is we are giving people the option to decide on things they may have never even been exposed to otherwise.
What is your vision for LoT?
We hope to ultimately be the go-to destination for the talented new designer who is ready to reach a wider audience - and this will only be possible if we continue to reach the savvy, fashion loving shoppers we have already begun to attract.
Left of Trend is different by allowing you to browse without having to register or log in, too. That feature is rolling out this week. I have to say, I think that is the best idea. Sometimes, I’d like to look without having to sign up for something.
