Tiny Prints for Valentines
I always loved Valentine's Day at school. It may be because there was no pressure and everyone got gifts. Or it could be that I love to get mail. I'm not totally sure which...Or maybe Valentine's Day led to my love of getting mail? Hmmm...
The store-bought $3 for a class pack of Valentine Cards weren't for me, either. No ma'am. I wanted something special! So, of course, the hunt was ON.

ZOMG Christmas Lights!
I love Christmas lights. Like, really really reallly love them. They just make me happy. When I was a kid, we used to go to the boat parade in Newport Beach, CA. There was also the best Christmas light display I've ever been to. They had a Santa and after waiting in line to see Santa, he knew your name! It wasn't until many, many years later that I found out they had a walkie-talkie system, relaying names. HA!
Our town doesn't really do anything. At all. Nothing from the city, no neighborhoods that go all out. It's really rather Bah Humbug! However, there are a few great displays. There's the Bagwell's Lights. They're a father and son that live next door to one another. The son sort of takes over the yards in the neighborhood with his display.
Then there's the B Hwy Christmas Display. I found this totally by accident! There's about a million Christmas inflatables on display at a couple of houses. Well, according to the facebook page there's 200+
And then there's this house I saw on Puck Daddy. It's actually in Buffalo, NY, but if I can talk a couple other people into it, I may consider doing something similar next year. Of course, we'd have to use a different team.
What about you? Do you dig Christmas lights?

World Vision and The True Spirit of Christmas
World Vision is a fantastic organization that brings hope and self-reliance to people across the globe that need assistance. You can make a difference.
“The holiday season provides the perfect opportunity to honor a loved one and give a gift that has real-life implications on a family in need. As little as $16 can feed a family in the US for a day or put a smile on the face of a young child by replacing their makeshift banana leaf ball for a real soccer ball.” Says Traci Coker, the World Vision Gift Catalog national director.

Fab Five - Halloween Costumes DIY
Where did October go? CRIPES!! No decorating yet. No jack o lantern so far. I haven't gotten candy yet - not that it would last until halloween here. Heck, I haven't even gotten wee one a costume! EEK!!
Here are a few fantastic DIY costumes that look pretty quick to do.
Meatballs and Spaghetti
How awesome is this? Some yarn, a tablecloth, a paper plate. Easy peasy and cheap! And unique.
Chocolate Chip Cookie
Brown pants, brown shirt, some felt or fleece and a little stuffing. Super cute!
A Mushroom and a Gnome
I'm a sucker for a gnome, sooo...I may be a little jaded. This would be great for a big and a little or an only child and their parent. I also think this would be good for two adults! The best part - it's a sweatsuit, a visor, cotton balls or pom poms, a paper bag, foil, and a trash bag. You might not even have to buy anything!
Safari Guide
Another one that could easily be free and would work for all ages.
Cowboy
A little hat, a bandana...voila!! The cat or dog may hate you, but y'know...it's a small price to pay for a few moments of joy.

Halloween Bunting Project + Free Printable
You've seen those buntings, haven't you? They go by various names - like swags or banners. Pennants, too. Well...here's how to make one. I've even created the printable. Yee haw!! You only need a few types of craft supplies and most can be found at Factory Direct Craft.
Supplies:
- Halloween Banner Printable - Found here and here. It's 2 pages.
- 2 sheets White glossy or matte coated cardstock - 8 1/2 x 11 inches
- 3 sheets Coordinating cardstock, either 8 1/2 x 11 or 12x12. I used a charcoal grey.
- Orange paper. I used scrapbook paper. You'll need a 6x6 or 8x8 piece - or the equivalent.
- 3-4 yards of ribbon. I used 1/8 inch satin ribbon in chocolate brown. Use more if you'd like!!
- Adhesive. I used double-stick tape squares, because I like them. You could use a tape runner or glue stick too. I would stay away from wet glue, though.
