How to Get the Most from An Eye Appointment

Do you wear glasses?  I don’t – 20/20 vision, baby! – but my mom does.  On her side of the family, everyone is blind as a bat.  For those reasons, I regularly visit an ophthalmologist.  Every two years, like clockwork, I make an appointment and have my eyes checked.  I will admit, I don’t always see the same doctor, but I always go to the same office, as they have my records on file and can see how my vision has changed.

If it’s time to get your eyes checked, there are some things you should know.  Zeiss has compiled alist of tips to help you at your next eye appointment.  The tips are all-encompassing and include everything from the difference between an optometrist and an ophthalmologist to how often to get your eyes checked to specific questions to ask about the different types of lenses.  Zeiss even has a list of tips for eye exams over the age of 40!

Before you go to your next eye appointment, be sure to check these fantastic tips to ensure you get the most thorough exam.
