Guiltless Pleasures Pies - Review #FTRgiveaway

I’m one of those people that like to have a treat. If I’ve had a rough day, I like to have a treat. If I’ve had a really great day, I like to treat myself to celebrate. Guiltless Pleasures pies are lower calorie, low sugar, and healthy way to treat yourself.

I grew up in a bakery, so I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to food. I have to admit, I was a touch leery when I got these pies to review. There’s just 160 calories in a serving? Hmmm…diet pies…yum? I decided I would go into the taste test with an open mind. As it turns out, I was pretty wrong in my prejudice!

Guiltless Pleasures are billed as crème pies, but they really have more of a chiffon texture. They’re light and airy, but have a creamy texture. The filling was rich and satisfying and the crust was pretty good, too. One complaint I had was that the crust was very crumbly. In fact, one of the crusts I received was broken in several places. I just brushed it with a little of the pie filling to glue it back together. It also made the pie a little difficult to serve.

The pies come in three flavors – Coconut Crème, Banana Crème, and Milk Chocolate. I received Coconut Crème and Milk Chocolate. In our house, we thought that the Coconut was better than the Chocolate, but that may be in part because chocolate flavors are easy to come across, where coconut is more uncommon. The Coconut Crème also tasted like it had little shreds of coconut in it.

Now for the good for you info:

• Natural Sweetener – Zero Calories, Zero Aftertaste
• Only 160 Calories per serving
• Compliments weight control and good oral health
• Great option for kids, senior citizens, and people that lead healthy lives.
• No bloated feeling afterwards
• 50% less calories than the leading desserts
• A rich- creamy taste in every bite
• Doesn’t promote tooth decay.

They sound pretty good, don’t they? Guiltless Pleasures pies are a great treat to have on any regular Tuesday night!

Yummy is good and Guilt free is good but together is awesome! YOur review is very helpful too especially if I am blessed enough to win bc originally I would have automatically requested a chocolate pie but thanks to your review I am going to take your word on the coconut and I would end up getting a coconut and a banana pie (1 of them HAS to be banana for sure for me lol ) Great review. and I dont care if all the crust falls apart I am all about the filling haha ; P

I love the idea of less calories and if they really do not have an after taste that would be amazing.

I like the point about the aftertaste. I can't stand when foods have a bad aftertaste!
