Bumbershoot Music & Arts Fest - Seattle, WA

Bumbershoot is this coming weekend, Sept 3-5, 2011. I know. I promise to start doing these road trips a little further in advance so you can actually, oh, I don't know, maybe PLAN to go!

Anyway, Bumbershoot is one of the granddaddies of the current music fest trend. Held in Seattle, WA, 2011 is the 41st year for it. Bumbershoot is now the largest urban arts festival in North America. Covering all forms of art - from music to dance, comedy and film, spoken word and visual art (painting, sculpture, etc.), there's something for everyone.

Once you get in, the senses boggle with the vast array of things to do! There are several stages - some indoor, some outdoor - all with varying performances. BUT! There's more! Add in indie craft & artisan vendors and tons of food and you never want to leave. Bumbershoot also has less of the "Let's get messed up!" vibe that a lot of fests have. People are there to have fun and seem to be on good behavior.
